I created these charts when I first started my journey into the Japanese language. I searched for some references to hang on my wall or my fridge that was both educational and aesthetically pleasing, but couldn't find anything. These chart prints came out as my solution! Understanding the Japanese Writing System

Japanese is unique because it uses three different scripts together. Katakana - the modern Adapter, represents the same sounds as Hiragana, but the shapes are more angular and sharp. It is primarily used for foreign loanwords (like Kōhī for coffee), names of countries, and to create emphasis.
